The Well ... Shine Dion

By an old drinking well
On the grass so green
I lay down and fell into a dream

푸른 빛으로 뒤덮힌 잔디위에 있는 샘물 곁에
난 누워서 잠을 청하고 있네

By a strange mellow sound
From a silver eyed bird
I opened me eyes but said no word

은색을 띤 새가 내는 낯설은 아름다운 소리를
난 눈을 떠 바라보고 있지만 아무 말도 하지 않네

On the pathway came walking
A woman so bold
Behind her in silence went the old

거침없던 한 여자는 길을 따라 걸어오고
침묵과 함께 그녀 뒤편으로 노년으로 빠져드네

Ahead ran the children
With joyful cries
Their faces were lifted to the skies

환호성을 지르며 달려나가는 아이들
그 아이들의 얼굴은 하늘을 향하고 있네

The woman's hair was raven
And black as the night
Covered with stars shining bright

그 여성의 머리카락은 어둠처럼 아주 검고
아름답게 빛나는 별들로 덮혀있었네

As they passed by the well
I saw that their eyes
Were flaming like many coloured ice

우물을 따라서 지나가면서
난 그들의 눈이 여러가지 색깔을 지닌 얼음처럼 타오르는걸 보았네

They passed by the well
Like a breeze pure and clean
soon they were nowhere to be seen

그들은 순수하고 깨끗한 산들바람처럼 우물을 지나갔고
곧 어디에서도 그들을 찾을 수 없네

When I woke up alone
On the grass so green
I looked into the well to catch the dream

푸른 빛으로 뒤덮힌 잔디 위에서 홀로 잠을 깼을 때
난 우물을 쳐다보면서 잠을 청하고 있네

The water was rising
And I felt a chill 
I willed the water to be still

그 물이 솟아오르고 난 한기를 느끼네
난 그 물이 지속되기를 간절히 바라네..

There was a face in the mirror
And the face wasn't mine
The eyes held a shimmering shine

거울안에 한 사람의 모습이 보이고 그 모습은 내가 아닌 것처럼 보였지만
그 사람의 눈은 희미하게 반짝이는 빛을 가지고 있었네.

Like a face out of time
The eyes held a shimmering shine

거울안에 시대의 흐름에서 멀어진 한 사람의 모습이 보이고
그 사람의 눈은 희미하게 반짝이는 빛을 가지고 있었네.
