Yazoo 는 Vince Clark의 신서사이저와 Alison Moyet의 보컬이 모여서 만든 듀오로
1982년 첫 싱글로 발표한 only You에 이어서 두 번째 싱글인 Don't Go 가 
히트를 하면서 세계적으로 알려진 팀
수많은 세월이 흘렀건만 지금에 와서 들어도
요즘 유행음악에 견주어 전혀 손색없는 멋진 곡이다

80년대 뉴웨이브 포스트-펑크씬(Post-Punk Sceen)에서 
신디팝을 기반으로 하는 명곡들에
현대적 감각을 통해 새로운 삶을 부여한 2집 앨범 "BANDE A PART"
대단한 극찬을 받은 1집에 이어,
또 한번 음악계를 흔들어 놓을 만한 앨범으로 돌아오다.
 
Yazoo앨범을 들었을 때 제일먼저 귀에 쏙 들어오는 곡.
영국출신 남녀 2인조로 구성된 Yazoo(야주)가 전세계에 알려진 계기가 된 곡.
한국에서도 한 때 대단한 선풍을 불러 일으킨 곡이기도 하다.
(80년대의 한 TV오락 프로그램의 배경음악으로 사용되었었음.)
Yazoo는 80년대 뉴웨이브 분위기를 타고 나타나 전자음악이란 무엇인가를 확실히 보여주고 
단 기간에 사라진 그룹지만 20년이 지난 지금에도 그 영향력이 지속되고 있다.
